These recipes were born out of my own journey to heal from food sensitivities and exhaustion. Joanna never set out to become a cookbook author. In her twenties, she rarely cooked and was living on caffeine and convenience. It wasn’t until her last thirties—after becoming a mom of three and battling inflammation and chronic joint pain—that she began to connect what was on her plate to how she felt.
Through years of trial and error (including a brief family-wide raw vegan phase her kids will never let her live down), she discovered the power of nourishing food that’s both functional and flavorful.
